Philanthropy and Community Service
Sigma Nu Mu Eta places great pride in our philanthropic and service opportunities that happen almost every week. We cherish this opportunity to give back to the campus and Asheville at large and strive to represent our values of Love, Truth and Honor every chance we get.
Every year, the brothers of Mu Eta take part in two of the biggest community service days on campus, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and Greenfest, which are campus-wide missions that see us planting trees, cleaning streets, or sitting at a round table with the Chancellor and Board of Directors to figure out ways to divest from fossil fuels on campus.
The brothers of Sigma Nu are dedicated to self-improvement and ethical development. We find that community service is one of the best ways to aid in the creation of great men that we strive to make.
When we aren't doing campus-wide initiatives, the brothers of Mu Eta take part in off campus, Sigma Nu-specific service opportunities. We are dedicated to three different recurring services, the Children First Program with Mission Children's Hospital, Meal Prep for the Veterans' Restoration Quarters, and Manna Food Bank.
